i don't have a problem, i have a solution!

Today I was handed the actual full real Myers-Briggs Personality Inventory on paper and I am so excited about it. I've taken a billion variations on the theme online, but never the entire thing, and I'm pretty sure what I'll get as a result, but it'll be cool to check my expectations against reality. I got it from the Student Development office and I have an appointment Thursday afternoon to talk to a counselor about my results-- which was the term I had to agree to to be given the test, just asking and saying it was for my Personality class didn't cut it. That's okay, I can talk about myself for an hour. xD

I have very little studying to do for tomorrow, and a whole lot of studying to do for Thursday. I'm pretty certain the Botany final will be a cakewalk, and it's just one more lecture for Forensics... and then both my psych finals the next day. One of them is multiple choice, so I just need to read through the chapters I missed the lectures on. The essays... blah. I don't even want to think about them right now.

In the middle of watching a Supernatural episode, I remembered something that I thought was lost to the ages. I used to play this 2D adventure game with sorcery and a cat race and a lizard race of people, and it was awesome, and I could never remember the name of it for like... six years. And the name just came to me in the middle of Dean poking around in a crypt. It was Blades of Exile! Now I have to download it and waste a few days playing that for old times' sake.

Almost to the end of season 4 now. I would say I'm going to save season 5 for a post-finals treat, but I know myself too well to pretend I'm going to wait if the finale of 4 demands immediate viewing of 5.

It's Kelly's birthday today. My girl is officially twenty-four.

Sometimes, I just stop and think about all the things I'm lucky to have in my life-- she's at the top of the list.

My sister's class was delayed, so she refuses to drive me to school on time for my class. FML.

I was playing with my kitty, and he suddenly got vicious on my foot and now there are claw holes in the sole of my foot that I am going to feel all day. FML.

I know I only have to go to these last two lectures and then Thursday are the finals, but I still don't want to go to class today. FML.


It's not even 9 in the morning and I'm racking up FMLs like I'm trying to win a prize.

Last night, I had a dream that I was wandering around Baci's and the Plainfield library (apparently, we somehow lived there) and I ran into Stephen Fry. and I kind of went, "HOLY SHIT, STEPHEN FRY! Wait, why are you in Plainfield?" Turns out he was filming something and decided to go eat at Baci's, as was his routine for that week. Oh, um.

Anyway, he invited me back to where he was staying, for a moment (I think something to do with some picture, or something-- I was too busy trying to not seem like a spaz while mentally going "HOLY SHIT, STEPHEN FRY!"). Turns out he was staying with Laura and Joel, who haven't dated since, hmm, probably high school. But it gave me an excuse to hang around for a little while longer, and then Stephen Fry mentioned some gala-type party he was attending that night, and he invited me along. To, quote, "Get drunk on expensive wine, for free".

Man, brain, why can't you make this sort of stuff real? Though I think that Stephen Fry hanging out with a group of <25 year-olds would be a little weird. This is why I shouldn't watch QI before bed.

Thanks to Anon for the cookie. Beyond weird dreams (including one where Kelly was emotionally cheating on me with some guy named Lucas because she was tired of taking care of me-- bazuh?), I've just been... here. I need some distractions.

I just finished my forensics test... Pretty sure I did not get a perfect score like every other time. Now I'm just waiting for everyone else to finish so we can get to the lecture.

The snow did stick a little. Not full ground coverage, but enough to make its presence known. Maybe I will make a tiny snowman when I get home.

Thank you for all the snowflake cookies, guys. My profile looks... well, kind of looks like outside right now. It's snowing for like the second time this year. I don't know if any of it will stick.... it's supposed to snow all week though. This year has been a record for no snowfall for Syracuse, and I am okay with that because I would rather not have to deal with snow for as long as possible. Which... looks like my time is up. xD

I REALLY HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE TALK ON THEIR PHONE IN THE LIBRARY. It is obvious that you do not give a fuck about the other people in here because you're carrying on a loud conversation with the guy next to you, but the phone just tips it over the edge. UGH.

Today instead of having an actual lab, we had really excellent coffee and chocolate and tropical fruit salad in Botany and got a talk about how important fair trade is and how Africa's going to have no forests left in 40 years. Then instead of the lecture, he went over whatever people wanted to know about the test on Wednesday... and after everyone else left, he gave me the whole lecture on angiosperms because I missed it last week. I don't think I've ever had a teacher do that before. I'm really going to miss Dr. Aikman, he's one of the best teachers I've ever had.

Right now I am rocking the sweater vest again, this time with a corduroy jacket. I do not think I could look more like a nerd unless I traded my specs in for thick black-framed models. xD I revel in my geekitude.

I have finally hit the blue ribbons on Farmville for animals and trees. This means I can sell off all the lame ones like bananas and pigs and keep the cool ones like pomegranates and kittens. :D I am proud of my stupid virtual farm, okay.

One more time going to exercise, then the rest of them I can fake by logging in for the exam both days. The lady who works the gym desk told me that so I'm taking it as a legit option. \o/

I have very poor sleep hygeine, and this is something I will continually regret while I have morning classes.

But I totally don't regret staying up until 5 watching Supernatural last night. So I guess I deserve not being able to sleep now.

Ugh, I only just remembered that I have a five chapter forensics test today. Soon I can sell my textbooks back, though. That'll be good.

Oh, I didn't mention that I finished the huge octopus blanket today! it didn't take as long as I expected it to. Now Mom's getting all the ribbon-edged ones ready to sew. I think I will be able to mail all the quilts at the end of the auction and none of them will take until January to finish.

I was working on laying out the ducky blanket when my dad asked me how the auctions were going. I told him that none of them are past the minimum bid and he said he would bid $15 on all of them and buy all of them if no one outbid. I was like, that would be cool to make a certain $150 for megmatthews20, but what will you do with ten fleece blankets? xD

I am making contingency plans for unsold ones though. Christmas presents for my Burghian friends? It could work. (or I could buy more fleece and make them... Wonder if anyone sells Grateful Dead bear printed fleece...)

Sleep now, maybe, hopefully, if I'm lucky.

I'm halfway through the season now. Won't be able to watch much over the next couple of days for studying, but knocking off eleven episodes in two days isn't bad.


I swear I will post about something that isn't Supernatural soon. Promise.

The only thing I want is for finals to be over and the 18th to be here.

I need to be in Plattsburgh. I almost hurt with how much I want to be there and not here.
